Injury Prevention Training

CTC’s experience in the work place has highlighted the importance of concise training and an interactive learning process. This ensures employees take full responsibility for their own safety and are able to identify potential hazards which may affect others.

CTC training services include manual handling and bespoke projects to raise staff awareness of hazards in their work place. This training can be delivered to new starters and long standing employees alike. CTC’s aim is to use seminar groups to give management associates ownership of ergonomic issues and thus helping to reduce the costs of injury in the work place. CTC’s physiotherapists are highly regarded and provide an environment of trust to promote truly interactive and open discussion.

Regular training in issues affecting the health, safety and well being of the work force has been shown to be cost effective both in the reduction of work related ill-health and by the potential increase in productivity from health motivated staff. CTC’s review of a business’s working environment often highlights the need for training in areas such as recognition and reporting of injury on the shop-floor. Simple, structured training programmes can increase employee awareness of processes which could cause potential injury and develop confidence in asking for help.

Manual Handling

CTC offers manual handling training with a specific emphasis on the human aspects of moving and lifting and focuses on the importance of postural awareness throughout the manual handling process. Presented over a half day it adheres to HSE and Government recommendations for correct manual handling in the work place.

The course covers postural awareness, work station design and preventative exercises.
